It’s been almost a decade since audiences around the world discovered Henry Cavill’s Superman with Steel man. Hope has never been stronger in the DCEU, and many expect Steel man 2 at any moment.

Fans are beyond excited to see Henry Cavill Superman back for a solo project. Steel man2 would be the perfect fan service for the most iconic superhero of all time, but the question arises as to which one the villain will face supermanbecause he has everything amazing badness list.

Superman has a few weaknesses, but one of the biggest is Kryptonite. In the comics, associating this very weakness with a cyborg is a way to confuse Superman. The problem that lies at the heart of Metallo, literally. Metallo is a cyborg and is one of Superman’s oldest enemies, due to his day in the DCEU against Superman.

Kryptonite is no stranger to the DCEU, and neither are those who see Superman as a threat towards the earth. After sustaining fatal injuries, John Corben was experimented on by Professor Emmet Vale, who placed Corben in a cyborg body with a kryptonite heart to stop Superman’s potential alien threat.

8/9 Parasite

Superman may be a Boy Scout, but his villains are straight out of horror movies. Parasite has the immense power to drain life energy from organic matter, a humanoid leech who desires the ultimate power of the sun that resides within Superman. It is quite grotesque, and extremely threatening to Metropolis and Superman.

Rudy Jones was Parasite and started out as a lowly janitor in STAR Labs before an accident turned him into a monster, determined to feed on energy. Its size can grow and its hunger is never quenched.

7/9 Mongolian

Superman has been absent from the DCEU for far too long, and maybe Steel man 2 can act as a story that explains why Superman disappeared. Other than a few mentions and brief infamous headless cameos, Superman’s demise could be explained by Mongul, the tyrant dictator of Warworld.

Warworld is interesting on its own and acts as a place where creatures and beings across the galaxy are turned into slaves for gladiatorial combat. See Superman free an oppressed people from another world, while fighting Mongul and Gladiatorscould be a real thrill.

6/9 Brainiac

Few Superman villains have a deeper connection to the character than Brainiac. The villain presents himself as a cosmic threat, one that could threaten Superman’s existence and what he knows about his homeworld of Krypton.

Brainiac boasts of a twelfth level intellect, and hate for superman. He has an immense thirst for knowledge, even at the cost of planets and billions of lives among them. Knowledge is valuable as a rarity when he alone possesses it, and Superman may want to learn more about Krypton, as well as save the bottled city of Kandor, which remains in Brainiac’s possession.

5/9 Lex Luthor

There are those in the universe who may hate Superman for his power and goodness, but few hate it more than Lex Luthor. For Lex, Superman is in the way of his ego. An alien who usurped the greatness he thought he alone possessed. Jesse Eisenberg presented a complex, different and divisive take on the character of batman versus supermanand could perhaps see a more humble return to the DCEU.

Lex Luthor’s development in the DCEU from a selfish youngster to a more serious and determined Superman hater might be a bullet to see, especially in the wide scope of all things Superman. After all, he is his sworn enemy.

4/9 black adam

The hierarchy of power in the DC Universe has been threatened by the arrival of Black Adam, played by Dwayne Johnson. It’s been over a decade, and Johnson has spent years trying to make the fight of the century between Black Adam and Superman a reality.

With Black Adam’s post-credits scene showing the Superman’s triumphant returnmaybe the two will go together in a Superman sequel, or even have a rematch inside, depending on how long it takes to Steel man2 to get out. After all, one of Superman’s Weaknesses Are Magical.

3/9 Mr. Mxyzptlk

Comics are home to all sorts of bizarre happenings, and it doesn’t get more bizarre than the Fifth Dimension. Mr. Mxyzptlk is an imp native to the Fifth Dimension and usually spends his endless free time visiting and harassing Superman, doing Kryptonian engage in wacky antics.

It might be completely out of place for Mr. Mxyzptlk to step into the DCEU, but it would surely create more cosmic reach, especially since Earth has been the main focus of every DCEU movie except the brief one. Apokolips match in by Zack SnyderJustice League. Mr. Mxyzptlk would add a zaniness to Superman’s lighthearted tone.

2/9 Weird

There are plenty of opportunities for themes around identity and disappointment with the inclusion of Bizarro. The character has been in comics for decades and speaks in a rather bizarre, reversed way, where “kill” means “save”, etc. Bizarro is the reverse of Superman but isn’t entirely a villain, he’s just easily manipulated.

In recent years, Bizarro has been touted as a failed Superman clone thanks to the efforts of Lex Luthor. Lex even felt a bit related to Bizarro. The character’s appearance could be explained as an attempt to bring Superman back to death after sacrificing his life to defeat Doomsday.

1/9 Darkseid

Perhaps the ultimate “big bad” in the DC Universe, Darkseid is the ultimate threat to life. He seeks the enslavement of all organisms with the Anti-Life Equation and rules Apokolips with great power and ruthlessness. His Omega Beams are powerful and will track their targets regardless of speed and distance traveled.

Darkseid was mentioned in 2017 Justice League and was seen in by Zack SnyderJustice League. Audiences are aware that Darkseid has plans for Superman, and perhaps the all-good Superman will stand up for truth and justice against the power of Darkseid and his Female Furies.
