A contractor stole valuable comic books from West Haven Man: Police

WEST HAVEN, CT – A Stratford man is charged with steal valuable comics of a West Haven man while working as a contractor, according to the New Haven Register.
Frank Secchiaroli, 47, was charged in March 2020 with first-degree robbery and released after posting $25,000 bond. He has yet to enter a plea and is due back in court Feb. 1, according to state court records.
The Register reports that the victim valued the stolen comics at $250,000, including a first edition of Spider-Man, as well as Batman and Superman’s First Meeting and other valuable comics. Police documented that nearly 250 of the victim’s comic books were sold to a comic book store in Milford, according to the register.

The victim said he had hired Secchiaroli for several other jobs over the past 10 years, had a key and had been alone in the house on several occasions, the Register reported.
