Comedy actress Rebel Wilson on welcoming a baby girl through surrogacy

New Delhi: Australian actress and comedian Rebel Wilson, who made headlines for her dramatic weight loss and for giving Russian President Vladimir Putin the middle finger at the 2022 BAFTA Awards, has announced the birth of her first child via a mother carrier, reports BBC News.

The 42-year-old ‘Bridesmaids’ and ‘Pitch Perfect’ star shared the first photo of her daughter Royce Lilly online, describing her as a “magnificent miracle.” She also thanked the “beautiful” surrogate for carrying her.

Taking to her Instagram handle, Wilson shared the photo of her newborn daughter all bundled up with a lengthy caption: “Beyond proud to announce the birth of my first child, Royce Lillian, born last week via surrogate I can’t even describe the love I have for her, it’s a beautiful miracle!

“I’m forever grateful to everyone involved, (you know who you are), it took years to prepare…but I especially wanted to thank my beautiful surrogate who carried her and brought her to birth. world with such grace and care. Thank you for helping me start my own family, it’s an amazing gift. The BEST gift ever!

“I’m ready to give little Roycie all the love imaginable. I’m learning fast…lots of respect to all the moms! Proud to be in your club.”

The comedian actor, according to BBC News, revealed in June that she was in a relationship with fashion designer Ramona Agruma. She said at the time, “I thought I was looking for a Disney Prince…but maybe what I really needed all this time was a Disney Princess.”

Wilson hosted the BAFTAs for the first time this year, cracking jokes about her dramatic weight loss, the royal family and her flop movie “Cats,” and of course, showing the world how she feels about Putin.
