NOVI — More guests have been announced to join William Shatner at this year’s Motor City Comic Con.
On February 11, less than a week after Shatner’s announcement, it was revealed that Christopher Eccleston, known for playing the Ninth Doctor in the British TV series “Doctor Who” and the villainous Malekith in “Thor: The Dark World”, would attend the event.
The announcement was followed by news of the third guest, Alan Ritchson, known for his roles in HBO’s “Reacher” and “Titans.” A few days later, Ritchson’s “Titans” co-star Brenton Thwaites was announced.
Eccleston will be available for autographs and professional photos on Saturday May 14. An autograph will cost $100 and a photograph will also cost $100.
Ritchson, however, will be available for autographs and photographs during the three-day convention, which will cost $60 and $80, respectively.

The Christopher Reeve Legacy Reunion, presented by ‘The Caped Wonder Superman Podcast,’ will feature stars from all four ‘Superman’ films starring Reeve, as well as the writer and artist of the recent ‘Superman ’78 comic book series. “. Film stars include Aaron Smolinski, Mark McClure, Sarah Douglas, Jack O’Halloran, Mark Pillow and Mariel Hemingway, who will each be available for autographs for $40 and professional photos for $40. A Superman Legacy Reunion pic will be available with the entire band for $150, and a super villain pic featuring Douglas, O’Halloran, and Pillow will be available for $90.
As part of the meeting, Robert Venditti, the author of “World of Krypton” and “Superman ’78”, will be present along with Wilfredo Torres, a cartoonist and illustrator who drew the “Superman ’78” series.
Last year the event was moved to October due to health restrictions, but it will return to its usual May dates this year. It will continue to be held at the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi.

This year, as an added feature for guests, radio frequency identification wristbands are available for purchase and will be mailed to the purchaser’s home for an additional $15. Shoppers will be able to skip check-in and admission lines.
This year, Motor City Comic Con will be held May 13-15 at the Suburban Collection Showplace. Tickets for adults 13 and older are $30 on Friday, $40 on Saturday, and $35 on Sunday. An adult weekend pass is available for $80, with an additional processing fee.
Children 5 and under have free admission all weekend, and admission for ages 6-12 is $10 on Fridays and Saturdays, with an additional processing fee. A weekend pass for one child is $20 and all children 12 and under are admitted free all day Sunday.
