
Embracer Group acquires comic book publisher, Dark Horse Comics

In an unpredictable move, Embracer Group, a Swedish company best known for its portfolio of video game developers and publishers, has announced the acquisition of Dark Horse Comics.
No financial details have been revealed, but the deal includes the purchase of Dark Horse’s comic book publishing division, comic book production company and distribution chain, Things From Another World. The acquisition of the third largest comic book publisher will be finalized in early 2022, with the comic book publisher operating as a separate entity led by the current leadership in the same way as the other acquisitions of the Embracer Group.
