NEWS WATCH: CANTO returns for TALES OF THE UNNAMED WORLD!

MAR. 15, 2022, (SEATTLE, WA) — A new quest awaits you! Announce Canto: Tales of the Nameless World from IDW Publishing, a two-part miniseries entry in the Canto-verse by co-creators David M. Booher (Firefly, Joe Hill’s rain) and Drew Zucker (The house, skybreaker). The team is joined by guest artists Liane Kangas (Star Wars Adventures She Said Destroy), Jorge Corona(Middlewest, Batgirl, Me You Love In The Dark), and Shawn Daley (Ogre, samurai grandfather) to expand the world and adventure of this fan-favorite series between Canto II: Hollow Men and Canto III: Lionheart!

After his quest in the City of Giants, the adorable knight Canto, his friends Falco and Rikta, and their mount Malorex return to New Arcana. But to return home, they must cross a bridge guarded by a mysterious bard. His price ? A story he’s never heard in Everyone No Name.

“We always had fun doing Canto’s side quests,” the writer said. David M. Booher. “From Canto and the Clockwork Fairies for Canto & the City of Giants, these mini adventures allow us to explore the world of Canto. With Tales from the Nameless World, we see Liana, Jorge, and Shawn’s incredible renditions of Canto Kingdom alongside Drew’s incredible face-framing pages. It’s an exciting combination that I think readers will love as much as I do.

“We are delighted to bring Canto: Tales of the Nameless World to readers,” the artist said Drew Zucker. “Throughout Canto’s run, David and I have been fortunate to have some of the most talented artists do covers for the show, so having some of them play with the real story is a treat. We can’t wait to not only share this incredible art, but show everyone these exciting stories from the world of Canto.”

“Canto is a series about the power of storytelling, and Tales from the Nameless World builds on this foundation that David and Drew have lovingly built,” said Jonathan Manning, IDW Editor-in-Chief. “Collaborating with Jorge, Liana and Shawn – some of my favorite artists – is not only a treat, but a testament to the importance of sharing stories with each other, and how much a tale can evolve when it is imagined by a myriad of storytellers.. Tales captures the very essence of this series.

Canto: Tales of the Nameless World #1 is scheduled for June 2022, followed by the epic conclusion of Canto’s adventure in Canto IV: A place like homearriving in the fall of 2022.
