Oz Comic-Con Event Features:
As you make your way through the Oz Comic-Con lounge, keep your eyes peeled for movie and TV activations, exclusive merchandise, and interactive opportunities that are only possible as part of a agreement.
Steps:
- main stage
The main stage is where you’ll attend Q&A panels with our guests from film and TV and comics and authors, in person and virtually! - Community and workshop stage
You’ll be hard-pressed to find a more passionate, engaged, and thoughtful group than the fans who converge on Oz Comic-Con for every event. This showcase begins at the community and workshop stage. These panels are a great way to talk or teach like-minded people about a topic you’re passionate about. Panels can be question-and-answer style, a moderated affair, interactive, or a journey of history. In this space, we can cater to many different topics including cosplay, drawing, crafting, photography, editing, and more. - Anime and quiz scene
The Anime & Trivia scene, where your inner (or outer) Otaku and pop culture knowledge come together in a giant (metaphorical) melting pot of fandoms. At the center of the Exhibit Hall for Anime Content, this stage will host Anime screenings, panels, cosplay, and trivia, as well as larger pop culture themed events.
Comics:
- Alley of artists
A space to celebrate art in pop culture, Artist Alley is a colorful and creative neighborhood filled with original artwork and fans. Take the opportunity to interact with the creative geniuses behind your favorite comics, graphic novels, literature and art projects – a truly unique and authentic way to learn about local talent as they make waves on the world stage. Artist Alley is where you can purchase a unique commission designed and drawn just for you or shop for prints and artistic creations such as novels, jewelry, clothing, and homewares. No matter what you like, you’ll find a creator to suit your interests, whether it’s superheroes, manga, sci-fi, fantasy, horror, or indie.
cosplay:
- Australian Cosplay Championships
The Oz Comic-Con Australian Championships of Cosplay is Australia’s biggest and most prestigious costume contest! The Oz Comic-Con Australian Cosplay Championships will feature qualified winners from across Australia competing in the finals at Oz Comic-Con Sydney, for the chance to be crowned Australian Cosplay Champion! - cosplay center
Cosplay Central is the go-to place and undeniably the go-to destination for all cosplayers and cosplay fans at Oz Comic-Con. Meet local cosplay talent for tips and tricks, invite your friends over for the perfect photo shoot in front of cosplay sets, and have your photo taken by local cosplay photographers. - Cosplay parades, active cosplay and cosplay for children
Oz Comic-Con hosts a variety of parades at the event for different skill levels. The Cosplay Parade is a big event showcasing the talent of cosplayers at Oz Comic-Con! It gives everyone the chance to get on stage and strut their stuff. For those not quite ready for the cosplay championship but a cut above the cosplay parade, Cosplay Active is open to mainstream competitors to show off their crafting skills and bring the PLAY component to cosplay. The Kids Cosplay Parade is a great way for our littlest cosplayers to get into the cosplay spirit! Children can take the stage either alone or in a group, or for those who are too small or too shy, with a tutor.
The neighborhood:
The District is the melting pot of activities. It’s the perfect place to browse our manga library, draw on the doodle wall, learn origami, or enter our drawing contests. The District will be hosting our cosplay group get-togethers throughout the weekend with their photo wall. Stop by and play on one of our free game consoles, or bring your portable console and relax a bit and enjoy Among Us, Animal Crossing or Pokemon Sword and Shield with other con-goers. There’s a bit of something for everyone in The District.
Games :
- Gaming area and esports tournaments
Australian Esports League (AEL) is partnering with Oz Comic-Con to bring its free play zone and esports tournaments to every broadcast.
