welcome to COVRPRICETOP 10 for the week of DECEMBER 6, 2021. Last weekend, the fantastic (and surprise) teaser SPIDER-MAN: ACROSS THE SPIDER-VERSE took the first 2 places this week. The Disney + HAWKEYE series, once again, tops the list with four entries, three of which focus on Echo and its key issues. Oddly, Sleepwalker surprises us with not one but TWO entries, one of which has nothing to do with Sleepwalker. We’re also seeing an indie title featuring last week’s super hot title ANIMAL CASTLE, from Ablaze Publishing. Finally, Moon Knight returns to remind us that he’s still one of the most desirable aftermarket parts sellers of the year. Let’s jump in.
#ten DAREDEVIL # 51 | WONDER | 2003 Maya Lopez (aka Echo) significantly outperforms any other character in the HAWKEYE Disney + series, and all of her different keys are all the rage. Specifically, this original issue had a high sale of $ 60 for a raw copy and a current gross FMV of $ 40.
# 9 DAREDEVIL # 10 | WONDER | 2000 Continuing with Echo heat, this issue features Maya Lopez’s 2nd appearance and her first cover appearance (as Echo). Many believe that this should be the problem of choice for Echo, but we’ll cover that a bit later in this list. Meanwhile, this show had a high sale of $ 360 for a CGC 9.8 and a gross FMV of $ 90.
# 8 SLEEP # 1 | WONDER | 1991 As previously reported, insider Daniel Richtman recently reported that a project centered around Marvel’s Sleepwalker is in development (to some extent) at Marvel. While unconfirmed, this speculation helped him hit a high sell of $ 225 for a CGC 9.8 and a gross FMV of $ 21.
# 7 KNIGHT OF THE MOON # 1 | WONDER | 1980 While Spider-Man has the most heat for an impending Marvel movie release, Moon Knight is the equivalent for Disney +. This highly anticipated series continues to increase in demand for this first issue in its ongoing series. It had a high sale of $ 300 for a CGC 9.6 with a gross FMV of $ 89.
# 6 HAWKEYE # 1 | WONDER | 2016 The HAWKEYE Disney + series moves all kinds of key issues. This first solo series by Kate Bishop is a flagship title that collectors have been selling regularly for months. This week he had a high sale of $ 258 for a CGC 9.8 and FMV of $ 28.
# 5 DAREDEVIL # 11 | WONDER | 2000 CGC recently updated its case labels for this book to indicate Daredevil # 11 as “1st Appearance of Echo (Maya Lopez).” This had a significant effect on this largely overlooked issue until recently. clarity, number 9 is Maya Lopez’s first appearance, (as shown) number 10 is her second appearance and first cover appearance as Echo. Each of these questions has significant value. Right now , number 9 is the market winner. Yet with this new attention and the recent heat of HAWKEYE, 28 copies have sold of number # 11 with a high sale of $ 395 for a CGC 9.8 and a gross FMV of $ 53 .
# 4 THE EPIC ANTHOLOGY PRESENTS SLEEPWALKER # 1 | WONDER | 2004 This issue features the first appearance of Sofia Strange who was originally slated to be the daughter of Stephen Strange. However, this story was never ended and this connection was never made. There is speculation that we could see Sofia reappear in both comics and content, finally linking her to Doctor Strange. These bits of speculation helped this issue hit a high sale of $ 90 for a raw copy.
# 3 ANIMAL CASTLE # 1 | FIRE | 2021 A nod to George Orwell’s animal farm, this series from writer Xavier Dorison and artist Felix Delep presents a twist on the concept that all animals are NOT equal. It originally came out in France in 2019 and 2010 as a two-part graphic novel (with some amazing covers for that matter). The synopsis describes the series as “Nestled in the heart of a farm forgotten by men, the Castle of the Animals is ruled with an iron hoof by President Silvio.” The bull and his militia dog relish their power, while the other animals are exhausted from the work, until the mysterious Azelard arrives, a traveling rat who will teach them the secrets of civil disobedience. immediately turned to online sources to find a copy where it sold 47 copies and had a high sale of $ 50 for a raw copy.
# 2 SPIDER-MAN 2099 # 1 | WONDER | 1992 Spider-Man had some cool costumes, and few are cooler than Miguel O’Hara, Spider-Man 2099. This futuristic guy was introduced in Amazing Spider-Man # 365 (1963) as part of the well-meaning of Marvel Comics, imprint 2099 early ’90s. Last weekend we received a fun treat from a Spider-verse 2 teaser (now titled SPIDER-MAN: ACROSS THE SPIDER-VERSE). It featured a few quick scenes from Spider-Man 2099. This ongoing debut series for 2099 sold 183 copies in just two days with a high sale of $ 250 for a CGC 9.8.
# 1 INCREDIBLE SPIDER-MAN # 365 | WONDER | 1992 This issue features a preview of the (then) upcoming SPIDER-MAN 2099 # 1, and therefore has the honor of being the first appearance of Miguel O’Hara and Spider-Man 2099. With so much heat from the trailer , it sold an incredible 189 copies in ONLY two days, with a high sale of $ 475 for a CGC 9.8 and a gross FMV of $ 44. This book will only be released for next year until we get PART 1 of SPIDER-MAN: ACROSS THE SPIDER-VERSE. And we can’t wait.
